On Friendship and Rejection

Friendship groups are a delicate balance of who’s in and who’s out. At times you may find yourself at the center of your circle of friends, especially when you see each other every day at school or work. As people change and some move away the balance is usually tilted, priorities change and you can find yourself no longer having things in common. An unspoken pulling away begins to be misinterpreted as rejection and the group no longer represents a safe space.
