Art is a form of play, yet for an aspiring artist, breaking forth from behind the veil requires strength and courage. In a similar way the process of sprouting appears beautiful but is one of the most challenging parts of the growth process for a plant. The work represents the first piece in the artist’s collection, a reminder of her courage to start.
